Craig Lundy

Profile of Craig

The majority of Craig's research has been concerned with investigating the nature of transformational processes, in particular the role that history plays in shaping socio-political formations. Much of this research has focused on the work of figures in 19th/20th century European philosophy - in particular Deleuze and Bergson - though he has also conducted applied research using the principles of complexity theory/science to examine the formation of community identity, the pedagogy of ‘service-learning’, and the processes of public engagement. Craig has published two monographs: Deleuze's Bergsonism (EUP, 2018) and History and Becoming: Deleuze's Philosophy of Creativity (EUP 2012).

More recently, he has been exploring the idea of progress and experiments in life 'after progress' with Martin Savransky, leading to an edited book and digital collection under that title. He has also co-edited the collections At the Edges of Thought:Deleuze and Post-Kantian Philosophy (EUP 2015) and Deleuze in China (in Theory and Event, 2013). Craig has been at London Metropolitan University since 2022, in the role of Reader in Social and Political Thought.
